Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade's daughter Kaavia James' latest adventure is such a cool shoutout to her acting mama.
On Dec 6, Kaavia shared a series of photos from her and her mama's latest adventure to see a game with Grambling State University. The photos were posted to Instagram with the caption reading, "Mommy, I think the clovers got competition 🤭 thank you for having me @grambling1901 ♥️."
In the photos, we see Kaavia hanging out with the beloved cheerleaders from GSU, as well as stills and videos of how amazing their routines were.
First off, we can totally see Kaavia becoming a cheerleader one day, she's got the sassy, the dance moves, and could steal the show with a routine!
And secondly, we love the lil shoutout to the Clovers, the fictional cheer squad in the first Bring It On movie. Union played the Clover's captain, Isis, in case you need a refresher. (BRB, we're totally binging that movie again!)
For those that don't know, the You Got Anything Stronger? author and Wade welcomed their daughter Kaavia, 5, via a surrogate back in Nov. 2018.
Union is also the stepmom to Wade's kids Zaire, 22, and Zaya, 17. Along with that, Wade is the legal guardian of his nephew named Dahveon Morris, 22.
In a previous interview with SheKnows, the Bring It On star told us about how amazing it was to make Shady Baby, which was based on their daughter Kaavia.
"It's been amazing. Inspired by our daughter, Kaavia, we wanted to create a children's book that not only had a little Black girl as the main character but to also give the word 'shady' a more positive association, using it as her superpower, moral compass, and inner strength," she said. "As a family, we also understand the platform that we have and the importance of doing right for our community. That's why we get involved in various initiatives to help give back to our community, whether it's LGBTQ+ rights, advocating for diversity and inclusion in the workplace, or our Don't Skip public health campaign."
