The Okeechobee County Sheriff's Office said Thursday afternoon that a handgun was found at Yearling Middle School.According to the sheriff's office, a student found the gun in one of the bathroom stalls. The student immediately told a school staff member, and necessary measures were taken to secure the weapon and the school.The sheriff's office said, other areas of the school were searched for additional weapons.
