Brattleboro Area Interfaith Youth Group holds Chili Supper fundraiser for service trip to North Carolina

GUILFORD -- The Brattleboro Area Interfaith Youth Group is holding its first fundraiser of the year, a Chili Supper, on Saturday, Jan. 25, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the Guilford Community Church.

This event will raise money for the youth group's service and learning trip to Asheville, North Carolina this April. There, 16 young people and 5 adults from the Greater Brattleboro area representing Christian, Muslim and Jewish faith communities will spend a week assisting local nonprofits in Hurricane Helene recovery efforts.

The menu at the Chili Supper consists of both beef and vegetarian chili, cornbread, dessert and beverage. The suggested donation is $15 for adults, less for children 12 and under.

The Interfaith Youth Group builds a multicultural community through friendships, fun and service. It is composed of young people, a number who are recently resettled refugees from the Congo and elsewhere, who are interested in sharing their cultures, providing peer support and learning about each other while doing community service each month.

No reservations are required for the supper. Guilford Community Church is located at 38 Church Drive in Guilford. For more information email: [email protected]
