LORAIN, Ohio (WOIO) - One man is in custody for a stabbing at the Lorain Public Library Main Branch Monday afternoon.

Lorain police responded to the library in the 300 block of W. 6th St. around 2 p.m. for an assault.

Officers said when they arrived, they found the victim bleeding heavily from stab wounds and a library security officer restraining the other man.

The suspect was placed into a cruiser and police said they rendered first aid to the victim until paramedics transported him to Mercy Hospital of Lorain for treatment.

The victim's name and condition have not been released.

Police added charges are expected to be brought against the man in custody.
