MrBeast is coming to the small screen. The YouTube megastar is about to release his first TV series, Beast Games, with Amazon Prime Video. The massive gameshow will start with 1,000 contestants, all competing for $5 million -- the most single prize money in reality TV history. In usual MrBeast fashion, viewers can expect huge stunts and sets, including a train, a purpose-built city, and turmoil among the contestants.
On Monday, MrBeast (whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson) teased the series on Instagram, saying, "We broke 40 World Records filming Beast Games and I can't wait for you all to see 🙂 only 3 more days until December 19th on Amazon Prime."
If you're looking to see how MrBeast pulls off this feat of reality TV, read on. Below is everything you need to know about Beast Games, including how to stream the series and when to expect new episodes.
Beast Games is available exclusively on Prime Video, so you'll need a Prime Video subscription to watch this new series. If you're already a Prime member, you can stream the show here when it's released.
For non-Prime members, there are two ways to get the streaming service. One option is to subscribe to Amazon's full Prime membership. This package includes Amazon's famous free two-day shipping, exclusive deals, an Audible subscription, and more perks -- along with Prime Video. The full membership costs $14.99 per month or $139 annually (students get a discounted $69 annual rate). You can try Prime for free for 30 days.
Alternatively, you can choose Prime Video as a standalone service, if you don't mind forgoing the other Prime benefits. This plan costs $8.99 per month, or $10.99 monthly for an ad-free version. But, if you shop on Amazon regularly, we highly recommend going with the full Prime membership.
After signing up for either Amazon Prime or standalone Prime Video, you'll be able to stream all new episodes of Beast Games as they come out.
Beast Games premieres on Thursday, Dec. 19 with the first two episodes. Further episodes will be released on the following Thursdays until the season finale on Feb. 7. Here's the full release schedule:
