Worried about wallpaper? Don't stress; we'll get you out of a potentially sticky situation.
Here's what's in and out when it comes to wallpaper:
In
Function: Instead of just decoration, use wallpaper that is functional such as erasable or removable/adjustable wall decals.
Big blooms: Florals are more popular than ever, especially big, bold blooms. Go for big oversized wall stickers that can be placed in the pattern of your choice.
Wall decals: Wall decals can serve as decoration and display a fun message. Use in interesting ways such as to highlight a special area of the home such as a nursery, reading nook, game area or kitchen coffee bar.
Out
Metallics: Instead of shiny and brassy prints, many homeowners are opting for wallpaper that is more muted and understated.
Tiny prints and patterns: Out are tiny, small prints that simply "blend in"; the current trend is bold and big.
Dark colors: There was a time when deep green, garnet red and even black were popular wallpaper colors. These days the trend is toward light and soft such as pastels, white and cream.
