KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - Knox County residents have plenty of options for recycling Christmas trees as the holiday season comes to a close.

Throughout the month of January, the county will be taking trees at no cost. The only ask is that trees get cleaned before people drop them off: no ornaments, lights, string or any other decorations.

City residents can place bare trees at the curb for pickup as the city's brush pickup schedule allows.
