Remember this past offseason when everyone outside of Buffalo was calling for a doom-and-gloom rebuild that would see the Bills miss the playoffs and finish behind the Dolphins and Jets? Fun times. Instead, Buffalo leads the AFC East by four games over the Dolphins, and beat Miami in both matchups. Meanwhile, the Jets are 3-8 and rumors are already swirling that Aaron Rodgers will be playing elsewhere in 2025.

With that in mind, the Bills have a chance to clinch a playoff spot as soon as this weekend. If the Bills defeat the San Francisco 49ers, and the Dolphins lose to the Green Bay Packers on Thanksgiving, the Bills will clinch the AFC East.

The Bills aren't the only team that could clinch a playoff spot. Their rival Chiefs can also clinch. If Kansas City beats the Raiders and the Dolphins lose, or if the Chiefs win and Broncos lose on Monday night to the Browns. It feels almost inevitable that these two teams will meet again in the playoffs.
