When Paul George left the Los Angeles Clippers for the Philadelphia 76ers, the 9-time All-Star shocked some people. It was certainly surprising to see him go all the way to the other side of the country to play basketball at his stage of his career.
Clippers forward Norman Powell made some waves when he gave his thoughts on George leaving and called it "addition by subtraction". Many people thought he was taking a shot at George in that situation, but later clarified saying his absence gives opportunities to others to step up and show what they can do.
George hopped on "Podcast P with Paul George" and reacted to the comments:
Powell is having a terrific season for the Clippers averaging 23.6 points while shooting a blistering 48% from deep on 7.8 attempts per game. He has been a big reason for LA having any type of success so with George out of the picture and Kawhi Leonard sidelined, the Clippers need Powell to continue this play.
