Bucks vs Trail Blazers Prediction, Picks & Odds for Tonight's NBA Game

Bucks vs Trail Blazers Prediction, Picks & Odds for Tonight's NBA Game

Halfway through a four-game road trip out West, the Milwaukee Bucks look to make it back-to-back wins on consecutive nights when they visit the Portland Trail Blazers tonight.

The Blazers just had their season-best four-game win streak snapped and are 6-point home underdogs.

Our Bucks vs Trail Blazers predictions and NBA picks have Portland making it tough on the visitors -- as they have in recent matchups -- ahead of this 10 p.m. ET tip on Tuesday, January 28 on TNT.

The Milwaukee Bucks hammered the Utah Jazz 125-110 on Monday night to give them nine wins in the last 11. Sitting comfortably in fourth in the East, the Bucks are now just 3.5 games back of the third-seeded New York Knicks.

The only downside to that win over Utah was the major minutes logged by all-stars Giannis Antetokounmpo (37) and Damian Lillard (41), with another game less than 24 hours later.

But the Bucks seem to be well-equipped to handle back-to-backs. Since dropping their first two of the season, they have won four of the last five on the second night, though they are 2-4-1 against the spread overall in those games.

The Portland Trail Blazers were on their best winning streak of the year before being derailed by the West-leading OKC Thunder. They lost 118-108, but they still covered as 12.5-point underdogs.

That's the most points the Blazers have surrendered during this run, as they've allowed a minuscule 100.6 points per game.

That's helped as their offense is still only putting up 108 points in these games. Portland is shooting 45.5% from the field and 34.4% from distance but earning trips to the stripe, averaging nearly 27 per contest over the last five.

The Blazers upended the Bucks on January 4, a 105-102 decision that sent Milwaukee to its fourth loss in five games, before this current hot streak.

Portland has been quite the bet in this head-to-head. While the Blazers have gone 3-3 against the Bucks straight up over the last six, they are a sharp 4-1-1 against the spread in those games.

Portland is also a Top-10 team as a home underdog, going 11-8-0 ATS.

While the Bucks should win, look for the Blazers to be there.

For all the damage Dame and Giannis do offensively, Milwaukee is outside the Top 10 at 114.3 points per game.

While the Bucks have averaged 121.5 points during this recent surge, they have only cracked the 120-point plateau once in the last six against the Blazers -- a big reason why the Under has hit in four straight and five of six.

Portland is playing some of its best defense of the season, and the Bucks logged big minutes on Monday night, so this one should stay Under 231.
