NEW BLOOD: Press Sec. Leavitt Announces Seats for New Media at Front of the Briefing Room [WATCH]

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt announced a significant shakeup in the White House press briefing room on Tuesday, introducing a new policy that gives emerging media outlets priority seating at future briefings.

Speaking from the podium, Leavitt emphasized the administration's commitment to expanding access to diverse voices and ensuring that smaller, independent outlets have a fair opportunity to question officials.

"We're also opening up this briefing room to new media voices who produce news-related content and whose outlet is not already represented by one of the seats in this room," Leavitt said on Tuesday. "We welcome independent journalists, podcasters, social media influencers, and content creators to apply for credentials to cover this White House."

"Starting today, this seat at the front of the room, which is usually occupied by the press secretary staff, will be called the 'new media seat.' My team will review the applications and give credentials to new media applicants who meet our criteria and pass United States Secret Service requirements to enter the White House complex," Leavitt added, before taking a question from Breitbart News.
