Who would be in the 2024-2025 NFL playoffs ahead of Super Bowl 59 based on the current AFC and NFC standings?
With seven weeks left in the regular season (minus the Thanksgiving and Black Friday games), here's an updated look at who would be in, who would be out, and where all the potential postseason teams would be seeded ahead of the Sunday and Monday action of Week 14:

1. Kansas City Chiefs 11-1 (first place, AFC West): The Chiefs lead the Bills by only a game for the top seed, lone bye and home-field advantage and also lose the head-to-head tiebreaker after losing in Buffalo in Week 11. They have clinched a playoff berth and will lock down a ninth consecutive division title with a win over the Chargers on Sunday night.
2. Buffalo Bills 10-2 (champions, AFC East): The Bills clinched their fifth consecutive division title by beating the 49ers at home on Sunday night in Week 13. They will look to stay hot and keep pressure on the Chiefs when they play at the Rams in Week 14.
3. Pittsburgh Steelers 9-3 (first place, AFC North): The Steelers lead the division by 1.5 games over the Ravens after beating the Bengals in Week 13. They also hold the head-to-head tiebreaker over the Ravens, who have a bye in Week 14, courtesy of a win in Week 11. The Steelers will try to go up by two games by beating the Browns.
4. Houston Texans 8-5 (first place, AFC South) The Texans hold a two-game lead and the tiebreaker over the Colts as they seek to repeat as division champions. Both teams have a bye in Week 14. The Texans will find it difficult to finish no higher than the No. 3 seed.
5. Los Angeles Chargers 8-4 (second place, AFC West): The Chargers hold a half-game lead for the top wild-card spot over the Ravens despite losing to the Ravens in Week 12. They would get jumped by the Ravens again should they lose at Kansas City in Week 14 and lose any chance of winning the Wes.t
6. Baltimore Ravens 8-5 (second place, AFC North): The Ravens lost soundly to the Eagles to lose ground in the division to the winning Steelers and also in the wild-card race to the Chargers, whom they just beat in Week 12. They also hold the head-to-head tiebreaker over the Broncos.
7. Denver Broncos 8-5 (third place, AFC West): The Broncos stayed hot by holding off the relentless Browns at home on Monday night to close Week 13. They are up two games on the Colts ahead of both teams' next game in Denver in Week 15.
Who's in the hunt?
The Colts have an oustide chance of making the playoffs but it comes down to beating the Broncos in Denve rin Week 15 and then getting hot the rest of the way. The Dolphins and Bengals need to win out and get a lot of help.
1. Detroit Lions 12-1 (first place, NFC North): The Lions opened Week 14 by beating the Packers in a Thursday night thriller at home to clinch a playof berth and extend their top-seed lead to 1.5 games over the Eagles and their division lead to 1.5 games over the Vikings.
2. Philadelphia Eagles 10-2 (first place, NFC East): The Eagles need to take care of business against the lowly Panthers in Week 14 to keep pace with and keep putting the pressure on the Lions ahead of them. With a win, there are many scenarios in which the Eagles would at least clinch a playoff berth.
3. Seattle Seahawks 7-5 (first place, NFC West): The Seahawks jumped the Cardinals with their key win in Seattle in Week 12 and followed that up with a big road win over the Jets to increase their lead to a full game. They need to beat the Cardinals again at home in Week 14 to go up two games and a tiebreaker, or they will fall back into second place by losing the division-record tiebreaker.
4. Atlanta Falcons 6-6 (first place, NFC South): The Falcons, have lost three straight games after falling at home to the Chargers in Week 13, but they remain 4-1 in division play and are leading the NFC South by a head-to-head tiebreaker over the Buccaneers, a team they already swept this season. They face a tough game at the Vikings in Week 14.
5. Minnesota Vikings 10-2 (second place, NFC North): The Vikings need to beat the Falcons at home to keep pace with the Lions and also go up two games on the losing Packers for the top wild-card spot. They also have multiple paths to clinching a playoff berth with a victory.
6. Green Bay Packers 9-4 (third place, NFC North): The Packers lost a tough game to the Lions on Thursday night to dash their hopes of winning the division, down three games and a tiebreaker with only four games left.
7. Washington Commanders 8-5 (second place, NFC East): The Commanders, after the Packers loss, are only one game behind the second wild-card spot during their Week 14 bye. The Commanders are still a longshot to catch the Eagles to win the division.
Who's in the hunt?
The Buccaneers are keeping the heat on the Falcons in the division race and the Commanders in the NFC wild-card race. The Rams and Cardinals are very much in teh NFC West mix. The 49ers will hope to get hot down tne stretch to take back the division. The Cowboys are still a wild-card long shot.
