JBL Slams Fans Complaining About MJF After WWE Belt Throwing Incident: "Cry Me a River"

MJF is considered one of the biggest heels in wrestling today and it's not hard to see why. His heel tendencies were on full display at a recent event when he threw a fan's WWE title belt on the floor, which led to significant backlash. However, JBL has stepped in to defend MJF as he went after MJF's critics.

MJF attended the Entertainment X Sports Expo earlier this month for a meet and greet with fans. During the event, he made headlines by throwing a fan's replica WWE Championship belt on the ground. While this fits his character as a heel in wrestling, some fans felt that he crossed the line with his disrespectful behavior.

While speaking on Something to Wrestle With, JBL talked about MJF's current heel character and the aforementioned incident. JBL stated he doesn't mind MJF acting like a heel and criticized fans who complain about it. He pointed out that fans want wrestlers to be bad guys, but then complain when they do it. He also said that it's not a wrestler's job to act friendly or explain that it's all just a show.

The WWE Hall of Famer explained that at autograph sessions, the hardcore fans notice everything. If MJF suddenly acted friendly and dropped his heel character, it would hurt his character. JBL pointed out that fans complain about not having good heels anymore, but then get upset when someone like MJF plays.

"I have zero issue with it, zero. And these snowflakes that want to b**** about that, grow up. Give me a f****** break. I mean, this is crazy to me. You guys want these guys to be heels, and then when they are heels, you b**** about. You cry. 'Oh, they're supposed to be nice to me, they're supposed to let me in on it.' No, they're not. Who are you?"

Now, understand this: when you have guys come to an autograph session like this, these are your hardcore fans. They're going to tell everybody how you interact with them. So, if you have MJF here and, all of a sudden, he goes, 'Oh man, that's all just a show. Don't worry about it. Great to see you! How are your kids?' he's going to tell everybody, and it's going to hurt MJF. Enough people like that, you want to stay you. These guys, these fans, talk about how there aren't any good heels anymore, and then you've got a guy being a heel, and you complain about it because you're a snowflake. Cry me a river. I've got no sympathy for the fans who have a problem with this. You want this guy to be who he is."

As for MJF right now, he is set to square off against Roderick Strong at AEW Full Gear. Regardless, MJF will continue to be a true heel inside and outside the squared circle and MJF's biggest fans will likely agree with what JBL had to say on the matter.
