Eagle needs a bike path to Sylvan Lake and Yeoman Park

Eagle needs a bike path to Sylvan Lake and Yeoman Park

Many people bike on the roads, including Brush Creek Road leading up to the fork for Yeoman Park and Sylvan Lake. Unfortunately, biking on the road can be dangerous, with accidents between bikers and cars. Eagle should build a bike path for safety, more space on the road, and increased exercise.

A bike path would make biking safer, especially for those coming down from Frost Creek. It would reduce injuries from car-bike crashes. According to the Pasadena Complete Streets Coalition, "Adding a protected bike lane to a road improves safety for all road users ... reducing collisions and injuries by 30-50%."

This shows that a bike path would save lives and make biking much safer. Additionally, a bike path would encourage more people to bike rather than drive, allowing them to enjoy the outdoors. As stated by Revolution Cycle and Ski, "On two wheels and moving at a comfortable pace, you can enjoy your environment and notice things you never would in a car." This would be a great experience for people of all ages.

Biking is also excellent exercise. It's an aerobic activity that improves heart health, blood flow, and lung capacity. According to Better Health Victoria, biking increases your overall fitness by making you breathe deeper and sweat more.

Some may argue that building a bike path is expensive, but many people love biking and the outdoors. We should invest in a bike path to Sylvan Lake and Yeoman Park. It will improve safety, promote exercise, and offer a better way for people to enjoy nature.

Without a bike path, injuries would be more likely to happen.
