Stephen Nedoroscik DWTS performance: Olympic gymnast revives pommel horse skills with perfect score in finale

Stephen Nedoroscik has the clutch gene in his blood.

This summer, he sealed a podium finish for Team USA in the men's gymnastics final. On Tuesday night, he scored his first perfect score of this year's "Dancing With the Stars" competition -- in the Season 33 finale nonetheless.

With a freestyle routine worthy of 30 points, the judges had nothing but glowing reviews for Nedoroscik and partner Rylee Arnold's performance. Bruno complimented the couple's athleticism and artistry, while Carrie Ann had trouble holding in her emotion.

They weren't alone onstage, however, as the gymnast's teammates joined him on stage to dance to an instrumental rendition of Coldplay's iconic "Viva la Vida" ballad, clad in none other than the red, white and blue.

Here's everything to know about Nedoroscik's DWTS finale performance, including how the Olympian revived his pommel horse skills with a perfect freestyle routine.

It's a redemption story for the ages. After scoring at the bottom of the table last week following a below-par cha-cha, Nedoroscik and Arnold sent chills through the ballroom Tuesday night with their patriotic prance across the floor.

The two looked like a classic post-war couple, with the gymnast sporting a blue track suit featuring a white and red stripe down the pants and the pro matched his energy with a fluid flag-like dress dress.

Everything came together when Nedoroscik's teammates entered the picture, and it culminated in a beautiful story worthy of a perfect score.

Nedoroscik's partner on "Dancing with the Stars" is professional Rylee Arnold.

Arnold, 19, is a native of Utah and competed as the pro on "Dancing with the Stars: Juniors" before her role on DWTS.

Nedoroscik is 25 years old. He was born on Oct. 28, 1998, and is a native of Worcester, Massachusetts.

Nedoroscik competed collegiately at Penn State, with his final season of college gymnastics being cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic. He won two bronze medals at the 2024 Paris Olympics, one in the team all-around and one in the pommel horse individual event.
