Ye's website sells swastika shirts after Super Bowl ad promoting platform

WASHINGTON (TNND) -- The website of rapper Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, is selling swastika T-shirts just one day after a Super Bowl advertisement promoting the platform aired.

The site, yeezy.com, as of Monday offers no other items for sale besides a white shirt depicting the Nazi symbol. The shirt costs $20 and is titled "HH-01," which antisemitism watchdog Anti-Defamation League (ADL) identifies as shorthand for "Heil Hitler."

Ye's ad was not seen nationally Sunday, but appeared at least in the Los Angeles area, according to Variety. It featured the rapper appearing to speak from a dentist's chair.

"So, what's up, guys?" Ye said in the ad. "I spent, like, all the money for the commercial, um, on these new teeth."

"So once again, I had to shoot it on the iPhone," he added. "Um, um, um, go to yeezy.com."

The sale of the shirts follows a recent series of antisemitic posts to Ye's X account, which no longer exists as of Monday. He previously wrote "I love Hitler" and "I'm a Nazi" on the social media platform.

"I'm never apologizing for my Jewish comments," Ye wrote in another post. "I can say whatever the f*** I wanna say forever. Where's my f****** apology for freezing my accounts."

ADL responded to the tirade in a statement Friday, condemning the rapper's actions.

Here we go again," the group wrote. "Another egregious display of antisemitism, racism and misogyny from Ye on his X account this morning."

"We condemn this dangerous behavior and need to call it what it is: a flagrant and unequivocal display of hate," ADL added. "We know this game all too well. Let's call Ye's hate-filled public rant for what it really is: a sad attempt for attention that uses Jews as a scapegoat."

The rapper's account was previously suspended in 2022 after he posted an image of a swastika merged with the Star of David.

Ye appeared at the Grammys earlier this month alongside his wife Bianca Censori, who removed her black fur coat on the red carpet to reveal a sheer dress. The rapper followed by saying he has "dominion" over Censori.

He also said this month he had been diagnosed with autism. Ye made a similar claim in 2023, saying he had "signs" of autism due to a car crash, according to texts shared by an associate of the rapper.
