Both Santa and the Grinch will walk the Whootville Parade in Lakeshore town

SAUGATUCK, MI -- The Grinch will be slinking around Saugatuck's annual Christmas parade this winter.

The green anti-hero of Christmas will be steps behind Santa Claus in the Lakeshore town's Whootville Parade.

They'll also be parading alongside The Saugatuck High School Marching Band and the Peppermint Stick Brigade.

The parade will start 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7.

The parade will line up at Mason and Griffith Streets, and proceed to Butler Street. It will then run down Butler Street north to the end point of Butler and Mary Street.

While downtown, check out other festive events like the kickoff to the Outdoor Holiday Market, open 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Stroll through the booths of local creatives featuring artisan housewares and decor, hand-crafted wearables, treats for you and your pets at the Saugatuck Center for the Arts.

Cheers to the start of the holiday season that afternoon with the Ugly Sweater Pub crawl that begins at 2 p.m. at Wicks Park Bar and Grille.

Participants will race or crawl from bar to bar visiting five elves at five different bar. Each elf is waiting to give you a task to earn your player cards.

There will be raffle prizes and a cash prize for ugliest sweater.

Registration is $10 in advance and $15 at the door.
