The Bedford County Sheriff's Office responded Monday night to a report of an armed robbery in the 400 block of Stony Fork Road in the Moneta area.

The victim reported that, while outside the residence, an unknown male wearing a mask came out from behind the home, produced a weapon and demanded the victim's belongings, a news release from Bedford County Sheriff Mike Miller said.

"The victim cooperated and the suspect fled on foot in an unknown direction with the victim's belongings and cash," the release said.

The investigation is ongoing. Crime Stoppers callers remain anonymous and could receive a cash reward up to $1,000, according to the release.
