These Central Indiana high school girls soccer players made an impact in their first season.
Boyle started all 16 games in the midfield, registering five goals and a conference-leading nine assists. Most of her helpers went to leading scorer Reese Sochacki.
Asha Gussick, Park Tudor, M
Part of a crazy talented 2028 class, Gussick scored eight goals, added five assists plus 37 steals over 18 games (1,019 minutes).
Chloe Henderzahs, Guerin Catholic, D
A dynamic talent, the 14-year old Henderzahs aided a backline which allowed only 12 games on the season. Coach Sean Yau credits her with holding her own along the backline and being a threat in the attacking end.
Avery Hills, Sheridan, F/GK
Hills scored 18 goals and eight assists at the top of the Sheridan attack and made 51 saves (12 goals allowed) in net. She had three hat tricks during the season and made eight saves against Brebeuf Jesuit.
Lauren Joseph, Zionsville, M
Joseph tied for the team lead with five goals, two of which came in a 3-0 win over Fishers. She also scored the game-winner vs. Cathedral and the equalizer vs. Hamilton Southeastern.
Katia Loper, Greenwood, F
Loper scored eight goals and five assists for the Woodmen, including a brace in a 2-1 win over Greenwood Christian.
Anna Mattes, Park Tudor, GK
Mattes allowed just nine goals and made 69 saves in her debut season. That averages out to 0.721 goals per game -- and resulted in 11 wins for the Panthers. She enjoyed a 10-game shutout streak during the season.
Sydney May, Hamilton Southeastern, F
The younger sister of Michigan commit Sloane May, Sydney came in with sky-high expectations -- and she arguably exceeded them, tallying 16 goals and three assists for the sectional runner-up Royals. She scored twice in her varsity debut vs. Carmel, netted the winner vs. Westfield and the equalizer against Noblesville. May also struck twice in the regular-season finale vs. Mt. Vernon (2-0 win).
Nyla McCarthy, Franklin Central, F
McCarthy marked her debut by scoring 10 goals and adding an assist. She had three multi-goal games, including a hat trick vs. Tech in October. She also scored the team's lone goal in a loss to Noblesville.
Maddie McGuire, Whiteland, D
The Warriors are on the upswing with a number of young, talented players like McGuire, who aided a defense that allowed just 13 goals. Whiteland finished 10-4-1 with a 65-13 goal differential.
Nahia McNamar, Mt. Vernon, M
Replacing Reagan Britt at the defensive mid position, McNamar played nealy every minute her freshman season, anchoring the midfield as a smart, physical talent. Statistically, she tallied a goal and three assists.
Claire Pasquesi, Park Tudor, F
Pasquesi scored five goals and nine assists in over 1,000 minutes played this season for the Panthers. She had a hat trick and an assist against Greenwood Christian, and an assist in a 1-1 draw with Bethesda Christian.
Rylee Pruitt, Triton Central, F
Pruitt scored 12 goals and added three assists across 19 games for the Tigers. She had three braces.
Rhyley Rogers, Franklin Central, F
The first-year striker netted a team-leading 15 goals and nine assists for the Flashes. She had a goal and an assist in a one-goal win over Greenfield-Central and assisted on the game-winner vs. Avon.
Kathryn Simmons, Zionsville, D/M
Simmons tallied a couple assists on the attack and aided a defense which conceded just 14 goals over 16 games.
Veda Stahly, Lawrence North, M
Stahly notched 11 assists and four goals, with multiple assists in three games.
Hudson Tooley, Monrovia, D
Tooley contributed on both ends for a Monrovia team which boasted a 172-17 goal differential. She helped anchor the backline in her first varsity season and added a couple goals and an assist. Coach Betsy McCrary credits Tooley with being one of their more physical players.
Kinley Waalkens, Whiteland, F
Waalekns tied for the team lead with 16 goals over 15 games. She also registered five assists and 31 shots on goal.
