This year's nominees list is led by Wallen, who received seven nominations in categories including the coveted entertainer of the year award and male vocalist of the year.
Chris Stapleton and Cody Johnson both earned five nominations, while Post Malone and Lainey Wilson scored four each.
Multiple stars, including Jelly Roll, Megan Moroney, Kacey Musgraves, Combs, and producer/songwriters Louis Bell, Charlie Handsome, and Hoskins, received three nominations for their respective categories.
The Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award, which was first introduced in 2012, is given to "an iconic artist who has attained the highest degree of recognition in country music."
Receiving the honor this year is George Strait, who Sarah Trahern, CMA Chief Executive Officer described in a statement as "authentically Texas and authentically country."
"As a three-time CMA Entertainer of the Year and the most nominated artist of all time, he serves as an inspiration and icon to many of the great, new artists we know today. I am thrilled we are awarding him with this deserving honor," she said.
