The Washington Commanders are 3-1 and have one of the NFL's most potent offenses. Rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels is breaking records, and Washington has been able to do anything it wants offensively for four weeks.
Before the 2024 season, Washington had significant questions at offensive tackle and wide receiver. The entire offensive line has been excellent, and the Commanders are receiving outstanding play from their collection of pass catchers, such as Terry McLaurin, Olamide Zaccheaus, Noah Brown, Luke McCaffrey, and Dyami Brown. Tight end Zach Ertz and running back Austin Ekeler have also been significant contributors.
But Washington's offense will slow down at some point. It will be up to offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury and Daniels to adjust to others' adjustments. Adding another offensive skill player wouldn't hurt the Commanders either.
Raiders star wide receiver Davante Adams could now be available. He will have a long list of suitors, but the Commanders make sense for many reasons. Money or cap room wouldn't be a problem for Washington, and it now has a franchise quarterback that it can sell.
Washington was a popular destination when word broke Tuesday that Adams was likely to be dealt. We took to X -- formerly Twitter -- to view some of those Adams-to-Washington reactions.
