It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Carolyn Hayden Cecil on Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2024 at the age of 77 at the Heartford House while under the care of Hospice and Palliative Care of Western Kentucky after a nearly four year victory over pancreatic cancer. She was born Jan. 3, 1947 in Daviess County to the late James U. Hayden, Jr. and Mary "Edna" (Fischer) Hayden. Carol was the youngest of 10 children.

Carol was a graduate of Owensboro Catholic High School, class of 1965. She met the love of her life, William "Bill" Cecil on a blind date in 1963 and they wed in 1966. They were happily married for 58 years.
