A nationally-known ramen franchise has chose Newburgh, NY for their latest location (TSM Poughkeepsie/Canva)
We love to suspect our phones on spying on us, but there must be an entirely different type of magic that got a nationally-famous ramen spot to choose Newburgh as their latest location. Let me explain...
Last week, my wife randomly looked at me and uttered a simple thought: "I wish we had a ramen spot in Newburgh. And not a ramen-in-broth place either... I want a pan-fried noodle spot". There must have been someone eavesdropping, because just two days later, we saw the sign.
Coming Soon, the sign read. My wife couldn't wait to text me the next time she drove down Route 300 in Newburgh. As if an answer to our (very recent) prayers, it seemed that a beloved ramen destination would in fact be coming to our town.
The restaurant in question, Ichiddo Ramen, is no stranger to the Hudson Valley. While they have locations across the country in states ranging from Minnesota to Florida, there are also already two Ichiddo restaurants in Dutchess County. Now, they're opening shop across the river in Newburgh.
The new location will be located in the shopping plaza across from Home Depot at 1221 Route 300 in Newburgh, NY (below). While Ichiddo has nearly 20 locations nationwide, there seems to be a unique approach to both their cooking and business as a whole.
Not only does Ichiddo offer potential franchise opportunities, but they offer their very own ramen school as well. Curious entrepreneurs can investigate further opportunities on their website.
There is currently no public opening date for Ichiddo's new Newburgh location, and while their website lists an upcoming store in Westbury, NY, there is no mention of the future Orange County location.
