Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones firmly believes they have a player who has something special in him.

Speaking on 105.3 The Fan, Jones talked about rookie wide receiver Ryan Flournoy and what he's capable of. The Cowboys drafted Flournoy in the sixth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, but he has yet to make his debut.

With star wideout Brandin Cooks out for Dallas due to a knee infection, other wide receivers will have the opportunity to feature for the team on Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Jones not only hinted that Flournoy is likely to play, but he also hyped him up by comparing him to Cowboys great Dez Bryant.

"I'm anxious to see him make his first catch with the Dallas Cowboys, but he may be something special for us," Jones said of Flournoy, per Todd Archer of ESPN.

"On a personal basis, he's got Dez Bryant stuff to him. Boy, is he an athlete. Glad to see him get this opportunity."

Dez Bryant was a three-time Pro Bowler with the Cowboys and was the NFL receiving touchdowns leader in 2014, so for Jerry Jones to compare Ryan Flournoy to their former star is certainly high praise.

Sure enough, Jones' take adds unnecessary pressure on Flournoy. However, the rookie is not lacking in confidence. Recently, the 24-year-old wideout expressed his excitement to make his debut for the Cowboys, noting that he's ready to show everyone what he can do.

"I am excited to show y'all," Flournoy said, per the team website. "It's in here... *taps heart*. It's in here. Y'all will see."

There will definitely be plenty of eyes on Flournoy when Week 5 rolls around. Having said that, hopes are high that he can live up to Jones and the Cowboys' expectations.
