Nearly two dozen competitive cheer teams ranging from varsity all the way down to the middle school levels were on hand at New Boston Huron on Thursday for the annual Chiefs Christmas Classic.
Among the field of 21 teams were a handful of local varsity programs joining the host Chiefs from Huron, including Lincoln Park, Romulus Summit Academy North, and Southgate Andrson as well as non-area clubs from Dexter, Ida, Jackson Northwest, and Ottawa Lake Whiteford.
It was a largely competitive showing across the board with the team from Anderson ultimately standing out above the rest by night's end. With a final three-round score of 738.98, the perennial power Titans picked up first-place honors at the Christmas Classic.
