WASHINGTON (TNND) -- Pictures of tattoos featuring Luigi Mangione have appeared across social media platforms since the 26-year-old was charged with murdering UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson last week.
An Instagram user by the name of Glen Robertson, who presents himself as a tattoo artist, shared a photo last week of a design resembling Mangione's face in front of a Guy Fawkes mask.
Bullet casings appear next to the words "delay," "deny" and "defend," which are sometimes used as an explanation of how insurance companies don't pay claims. "Deny," "defend" and "depose" were written on bullet casings found at the scene of Thompson's killing.
An X user with the handle @ThatDudeTaco posted an image on Dec. 9 of a tattoo capturing the moment Mangione was allegedly seen on surveillance footage smiling in a jacket with a hood on.
"People are already getting Luigi Mangione tattoos," the user captioned the picture.
On TikTok, a user by the name of "_bigpurpledino" shared a video of a tattoo with bullet casings reading "deny," "defend" and "depose" in front of a red flower. "#luigimangione" and "#eattherich" are in the post's caption.
The user said in the comments section a "CEO in the US was murked by a hot Italian" in response to a question of what the post is about. Other replies read "My hero" and "Down with the ceos."
One commenter wrote "remember what we want are COPYCATS over merch and tats (this is sick tho fr awesome)."
"Us Canadians need a copycat or two," _bigpurpledino replied.
Images of Mangione without a shirt have also appeared in edited photos on social media. Many posts joke about creating an alibi for Mangione, claiming he was not at the scene of Thompson's death.
"Special thanks to Luigi Mangione for your help on Dec 4th from 6am to 6pm," a New York video game store captioned a Facebook post, referencing the time Mangione is believed to have been in New York City.
"What a long shift to never leave our sight once not even to use the bathroom but customers really enjoyed your catchphrase 'I'll never go to NYC, and the only thing I hate more than hoods on jackets is guns,'" the caption continues. "Very weird thing to say constantly all day but also very funny. PUT ON A SHIRT YOU GOOF!"
