Willard Bay duck hunter rescued after injuring leg

WILLARD, Box Elder County -- Crews helped a duck hunter in Willard Bay after he broke his leg in the early morning hours of Friday.

According to the Willard City Fire Department, emergency responders were called out to the Willard Spur area just before 7 a.m.

A boat propeller had broken and lacerated a man's leg.

WCFD said in a Facebook post that several agencies responded to the call for help.

Responders found the man in "critical condition," WCFD said. They put a tourniquet on the man and took him by helicopter to a local hospital.

"Thanks to all involved and the teamwork that makes the emergency response go smoothly," WCFD said.
