The JBL Tune Flex is a set of two stem-style earbuds, like the AirPods, but the stem itself is short enough to avoid sticking out too far from your ear. They come in Black, Blue, and White color options, plus a matching case. The case has LED indicators for charging and is quite compact as well. Powering the earbuds are 12mm drivers that have been tuned to deliver JBL's Pure Bass Sound. You also get a frequency response range of 20 Hz to 20 kHz, which is pretty standard with earbuds and headphones.
The Tune Flex earbuds come with Active Noise Canceling (ANC) technology enabled by two microphones. There is also an Ambient Aware and TalkThru mode for transparency, making them equally ideal for listening in public places, such as the subway or gym. You can customize some of the settings and EQ through the JBL Headphones app. This is also where you can customize the touch controls according to your liking. For calling, JBL has managed to fit four microphones on the earbuds for clear calls and, on top of that, the VoiceAware feature lets you control the amount of mic input routed back into your earbuds.

The earbuds themselves are lightweight, albeit not the lightest at 9.6 grams, resulting in all-day comfort. For connectivity, the JBL Tune Flex sports Bluetooth 5.2 and, once connected to your device of choice, can deliver up to 32 hours of playtime using the charging case. Without the case, the earbuds can perform for up to six hours with ANC on, and up to eight hours with it off. The case itself takes about two hours to charge completely, but a quick 10-minute charge will give you two hours of playtime.
The JBL Tune Flex earbuds are IPX4 water-resistant as well, so working out or jogging in light rain will be no problem. These are all features that fit $100 true wireless earbuds, but at half that, the JBL Tune Flex makes an excellent offering, with the backing of a reputed brand in the audio space.
